Geoff Tate Forms A Second Queensryche?

If you thought the Queensryche drama would settle down until their court case continued in November, you were wrong.

Despite previous reports which said the remaining members had "won" rights to tour under the Queensryche name, it seems things weren't that simple.

After listing his personal website as "Geoff Tate: The Voice of Queensryche", he is also billed on the lineup for Monterey International Festival as Queensryche Starring Geoff Tate.

The remaining three members and their new frontman Todd La Torre had briefly performed under the moniker Riding West until July when they defeated Tate's call for a preliminary injunction to prevent them touring as Queensryche. They recently hit the stage as Queensryche at the Halfway Jam in Minnesota.

When they return to court in November, Tate will argue that he was wrongly fired from the band and that the Queensryche name has been tarnished because of their actions, according to Blabbermouth.

Despite the ongoing drama, Tate recently told That Metal Show that he wants to talk out their problems face to face:

"I’d like to sit in a room with those gentlemen and have them tell me face to face what the situation is. Explain their actions. I’d like to know and actually understand their point of view. I’d like to see them talk to me face to face rather than through the internet."
